With our farming projects in Southern Africa and Haiti, we will be able to take better care of the people and  communites as a whole by creating thousands of jobs. Growing food locally will also eliminate the need for importing food with amazingly high mark-ups.

This project will involve teaching members of the community about crops and livestock, and showing them how to plant, nurture, harvest and maintain the farm to ultimately open up small stores. Rice, corn, cabbage, beans, and livestock such as goats, chicken and cattle are good sources of nutrients for the community. The chickens will also be able to provide eggs. It is also essential to initially provide fertilizer, ample seed, and a new blood line of animals to diversify the current population.

In addition to the orphans and elderly, there are about one million landmine victims in Mozambique who lost feet, legs and arms in the war. In a land with no work opportunities for these injured victims of war, many of them often turn to crime in order to survive. They slaughter thousands of antelope, lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe and rhinos for their skins and ivory to sell on the black market. Creating a sustainable farming community will provide these unfortunate community members a way to contribute to their society.

With a wildlife conservation program, we aim to harmonize the people and bring peace between them and the wildlife. With your donations, we would like to teach local citizens how to breed endangered species like cheetahs, wild-dogs, antelope and the tuberculosis-free buffalo. This endeavor will attract visitors, create jobs and promote tourism in the region. There will be separate areas for breeding endangered species, and an entire vast area for the wild life park to roam and breed on their own. There will also be a rehabilitation center for injured, unwanted and sick animals, which is currently unavailable in Mozambique.

Build On Hope is currently  raising funds to purchase land for the farming and wildlife conservation projects. We are working hand in hand with the government to build up the country and empower citizens to be self-sufficient, but we can do it only with much needed assistance from donations.
